INTERN
Ambrya Parton is a clinical mental health counseling intern at Very Unique Wellness. Currently pursuing her counseling degree at the University of the Cumberlands, Ambrya is gaining valuable hands-on experience as part of her internship. With both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in psychology, Ambrya brings over six years of experience in the mental health field, where she has worked with individuals facing challenges related to substance use, mood disorders, and personality disorders.
Ambrya is deeply passionate about supporting the alcohol and substance abuse communities. She has extensive experience working with individuals struggling with substance use and is eager to continue helping this population through her internship. In addition to her work with substance abuse, Ambrya is now gaining experience in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and couples counseling. She is excited to apply these approaches to assist individuals and couples in navigating their challenges and achieving personal growth.
Ambrya firmly believes that counseling is a collaborative process between counselor and client. She is committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment where clients feel supported throughout their healing journey. Her dedication to mental well-being, paired with her experience and training, allows her to meet clients where they are, offering tailored guidance to help them move forward.
As an intern, Ambrya receives clinical supervision from Vorā O. Blake, LPCC-S, C-DBT, C-PD, ensuring that she is providing the highest quality of care to her clients.
